P1 Restoration Mouth-blown Wavy Glass For Historic 1800s Era Buildings
P1 glass is a mouth-blown cylinder glass made in Europe today.
Handmade by glass smiths to be a true replica of the cylinder glass in wide use in America from the 1850s through the early 1900s.
It has all the classic imperfections of cylinder glass with dispersed small air bubbles, an occasional flat line, minor pitting, and every so often a dimple. It’s ream (unevenness) is almost imperceptible.
Matches the Cylinder Glass in Late 1800s to early 1900s Antique Homes
In addition to the mouth-blown glass of this era, P1 is also a good match for other glass that was in use including machine drawn cylinder glass and early stage Fourcault / Colburn glass.
